Tags almost always have an opening and closing tag as shown above; except in the case of the follwing “Line Break” tag:

<br /> The br tag indicates a line break in the text. If you use a line break instead of hitting the enter key, or using the <p></p> tags (in the html editor), the next text you type will appear directly below the text before the<br> tag
